01 Foundation

Acceptance, eligibility and lawful use

1. Acceptance of terms

Using Card Courtyard Pilbara means accepting these terms. By accessing the website, making an enquiry, reserving a poker table, attending the venue or participating in a venue activity, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website or attend the venue. These terms are intended to set clear expectations for a considered, face-to-face venue experience and apply alongside any reasonable directions given for a particular visit or activity.

2. Age requirement

21+

Card Courtyard Pilbara is for adults aged 21 and over. Access to the venue, poker room, card lounge, poker tables, poker nights, poker tournaments and private poker events is limited accordingly. This condition also applies when using website pathways that relate to venue access, enquiries or reservations. Age verification may be requested where appropriate. Please do not seek to attend, arrange attendance or use an access pathway if you do not meet the 21 and over requirement.

3. Lawful and respectful use

Use the website and venue lawfully and with regard for others. Visitors must follow reasonable staff directions and avoid conduct that compromises another person’s comfort, privacy, safety or enjoyment. Directions may be given to preserve the focused poker-led environment and the orderly operation of the venue.

Website misuse: do not interfere with website functions or attempt unauthorised access.

Venue disruption: do not obstruct venue operations or create excessive disturbance.

Unauthorised recording: do not record others or venue activity without appropriate permission.

These conditions support a calm, attentive setting for guests, staff and the poker activities taking place at the venue.

02 At the venue

Venue access and conduct

These practical expectations help maintain the composed, private character of Card Courtyard Pilbara.

Entry and staff directions

Entry and continued presence are subject to venue conditions and reasonable directions from Card Courtyard Pilbara staff, particularly where those directions are needed to maintain a composed poker-room environment. Guests should follow guidance about access points, seating areas and venue flow, and present themselves appropriately for a private premium setting. Staff directions are intended to assist an orderly visit and to support the comfort of people using the poker room, card lounge and adjoining venue areas.

Respect for people and place

Guests must act courteously and without disruption toward other guests, staff and the physical venue. Card Courtyard Pilbara is designed for focused face-to-face poker in a dedicated poker room and card lounge, with a considered evening atmosphere. Harassment, threatening behaviour, excessive disturbance and damage to the venue or its items are not consistent with these terms. Please communicate respectfully, allow others to enjoy their table or seating area, and raise concerns with staff rather than allowing a situation to interrupt venue activity.

Privacy and recording

Privacy, photography and recording

Guests must respect the privacy of others. Do not photograph, film, record or publish material involving other guests or venue activity without appropriate permission. This includes material relating to poker tables, cards and private poker events. Staff directions about photography or recording within the venue apply and should be followed. Before sharing any venue-related material, consider whether another guest, a private arrangement or an active table could be identified.

Personal property and care of venue items

Please keep personal belongings attended and treat venue furnishings, poker tables, real cards and other equipment with care. Use venue items only as intended, and let staff know promptly if you notice damage, unsafe use or a condition that needs attention. This simple care helps keep the venue comfortable and ready for the next table, poker night or private gathering.

03 Poker-led venue

Poker room, card lounge and table participation

Card Courtyard Pilbara is centred on in-person poker: real cards, real poker tables and attentive participation in the dedicated poker room and card lounge.

Face-to-face poker environment

Card Courtyard Pilbara is an offline poker venue built around face-to-face poker using real cards and real poker tables in a dedicated poker room and card lounge. This in-person format is the defining venue experience. Guests are expected to support an orderly, attentive environment around active tables by being mindful of the people participating, the pace of the table and the directions that keep each area comfortable for everyone present.

Table directions and game flow

Participants must follow table-specific directions, reasonable staff instructions and announced procedures for a poker night or poker tournament. These directions help keep play clear, considerate and orderly, and may include how seating and table flow are organised.

  • Follow directions given for the active table and its immediate area.
  • Observe announced procedures that apply to the relevant poker night or poker tournament.

Cards, tables and shared equipment

Venue equipment is for its intended use only. Cards, poker tables, table fittings and other venue equipment must be handled carefully. Do not remove, alter, mark or misuse venue items. If you have a concern about a table, a card or shared equipment, raise it promptly with staff so it can be considered in the appropriate way. A careful approach protects the quality and continuity of the face-to-face poker environment.

Participation boundaries

Card Courtyard Pilbara may set participation conditions appropriate to a particular poker night, poker tournament, table or private poker event. Venue-specific instructions supplement these Terms and Conditions. Where necessary to uphold these terms and the venue environment, a person may be asked to step away from an activity or area. This is a practical measure for maintaining clarity, consideration and the proper flow of a poker-led evening.

Venue-specific directions apply alongside these Terms and Conditions.

04 Planning a visit

Reservations, attendance and private poker events

Clear communication helps the venue prepare for individual table visits, group arrangements and private poker events.

Arrangement one

Enquiries and reservations

A reservation or table enquiry is subject to confirmation by Card Courtyard Pilbara. When communicating with the venue about poker tables, poker nights or private poker events, please provide accurate, current details. Review any confirmation information carefully and raise questions promptly if something needs clarification. A confirmation helps establish the relevant visit details, but visitors should continue to follow reasonable venue directions that apply on the day and throughout the activity.

Arrangement two

Changes, arrival and attendance

If your plans change, please notify the venue. Guests should follow any communicated arrival, seating or attendance directions for their confirmed visit. This applies to an individual table visit as well as a group arrangement. Card Courtyard Pilbara may need to adjust arrangements where necessary to maintain an orderly venue operation. Timely communication gives staff the best opportunity to provide clear guidance that reflects the current venue flow.

Arrangement three

Private poker event organiser responsibilities

A person arranging a private poker event is responsible for ensuring the group receives relevant venue directions, meets the adults aged 21 and over requirement and follows agreed venue arrangements. Event details should be communicated accurately to Card Courtyard Pilbara, including changes that may affect the group’s visit. Organisers should also encourage invited attendees to act respectfully toward staff, other guests and the venue. Restaurant arrangements remain secondary and apply only where they have been separately discussed with the venue.
